I can honestly say I have never eaten to be spaghetti in my life!! I don't love or hate tinned baked beans but I don't eat them by choice. Homemade baked beans on toast are fab but I'm not sure is eat them with brekkers.
Definitely a soufflé mushroom omelette for me, or scrambled cooked very firm - I simply can't eat runny eggs, nor poached or fried, where you can see the white and yolk as 2 separate components, smoked bacon medallions, and sometimes a plain sausage, no herbs or other flavourings, toast, but no beans or tinned tomatoes.
Talking of food on cruises Sacha, we've just got back, and the number of people I saw with their plates piled high with the full cooked Monty, fruit and sticky buns with syrup mingling with baked beans, made me want to hurl Eating1

I won't ask which nationality they were Cogs in case that might be tactless. Himself likes to visit the 'egg man' and have a freshly cooked omelette made for him, but often there's a queue. My preference is to get a small bowl of mixed fresh fruit, (with extra pineapple!) and perhaps a small croissant. If it's a hot meal then some scrambled egg and smoked salmon if it looks fresh and chilled. And a fruit juice. Not big on breakfasts me. smiley-sad050
Can I ask which ship you were on Cogs and would you recommend it? @incognito,
We always go with Oceania Sacha, this cruise was on Riviera, their newest ship. We've tried others, including Seabourn and in September, Hapag Lloyd's Europa 2 - supposedly the best ship in the world! Food and service were appalling, although the ship was beautiful. We've never been disappointed with Oceania, the food and service are excellent, and we always have a good time. @sacha,
Thanks for that Cogs, I did wonder if you were on Oceania. Just one more quick question.....have you been on the Marina...as its a ship we are looking at possibly for next year?
@sacha,Yes we have, it's exactly the same as Riviera. They're lovely ships, mid size, and even if full (approx. 1200 passengers) it never feels crowded. The only time you really notice the amount of passengers, is on sea days when it's busy around the pool. We sit in the shade, and there are lots of areas around the ship, where you can find somewhere to sit. The food in the Grand Dining Room is excellent, lots of choice, plus always chicken, steak or salmon, and the 4 speciality restaurants are tip top (at no extra charge). If you like coffee, there's a barista serving Illy coffee, and Waves grill where you can get lovely milk shakes and freshly made ice cream. Afternoon tea in Horizons is a must.
Many thanks Cogs, it sounds wonderful. I recently got an email from Oceania saying their 2016 cruises are now bookable. (I may get back to you at some point with more questions... double-o-lol)
