My two have been turning their noses up at "Good As Looks" lately. They get a variety in an effort to keep them happy so I bought three boxes of something different today to add to the mix, two I'd never heard of before. It's not going well. I'll try them on the third one tomorrow, little darlings!
Harvey is a picky eater BUT he is consistent in his pickiness. He loves the Royal Canin dried food. He has the Maine Coon variety and the one with added vits for coat and skin. Never fails to eat that.
Wet food is a little more tricky but he only eats half a pouch or half a small tin for a meal. And although he does, of course, like the expensive ones they still go quite a long way. Encore small tins in the chicken variety (doesn't like the fish ones), the Gourmet and the Sheba cat soups. The Whiskas cat soups also go down his neck quite well. The posh cat soups aren't very big though so he does have a whole one of those. He has half of the Whiskas ones.
He also has white fish (not that basa muck!) and prawns. So essentially he eats like a king but only in small portions. And even though he is on the expensive stuff my cat good bill has gone through the floor as Alf would eat three times the amount. One packet of Whiskas pouches lasts Harvey a fortnight.
Domino is another Royal Canin fan (Persian variety) along with Lilys Kitchens crunchies - has a small amount of cooked chicken in the evening - that is it - will not eat treats like Dreamies etc ...

I only give dry cat food after advice from the Vet on our first cat Top Cat, who had teeth problems when she got to 12 - she went on to Hill's Science Diet and lived till she was 19 and also ate meat, fish and cheese and onion crisps. Buttons would only eat Hill's Science Diet , never liked human food and lived till she was 19. Boris & Katya are on Iams ,supplemented in Boris's case with anything he can get his paws on and slightly more discrimination from Katya. All our cats have always augmented their diets with freshly foraged food from the garden .
I bet @tinkerbelle gives Harvey prawn cocktail flavour.
Are you mad? Harvey won't eat crisps!! Of any flavour. Christ he won't even eat the best steak off your plate! Alf? What flavour had you in mind? He'd have eaten the lot. Skips used to get stuck to his teeth though.
I found I spoke to more people in the cat food aisle of supermarkets than at any other time during a shopping trip.
That is so true, and they are all complaining and seeking something to keep their puddies happy lol!
Mine like the soups, but they will only get the posh ones when they are offer. They like the Whiskas soups of which they only get half of a sachet each occasionally. I have to mash the lumps in really well otherwise they just lap up the soup.
Millie likes yoghurt, Boots prefers cheese, just cheddar please?
