I've used it on a squeaky hinge and it worked on that, so it would be worth trying it on your tap. I didn't clean the actual sink with it, just the draining board. I sprayed the WD40 and wiped it off with kitchen paper.
I'm waiting to have a new sink (not a stainless steel one as I inherited that one when I moved here) and the WD40 will now be used to keep it looking good until it's removed.
If you bought a pair of shoes -say Sketchers- and one shoe edge is cutting in a bit, here's the answer -
put on a pair of socks & put your foot in offending shoe put a concentrator nozzle on hairdryer (not vital if you haven't got one) set to hot and pass it over the offending section using your fingers to manipulate the shoe flex let the shoe cool down
My niece has three house cats and is extremely house proud persuaded me to try Cat's Best cat litter for my two. With a 10 litre bag being £8-£10 its a lot more expensive than clay or even wood litter but it clumps together so you only remove the used part and then top it up if/when necessary. I bought a small bag two weeks ago and so far I've used less than half of it so I reckon the 10 litres will last them 5 or 6 weeks so it should actually work out cheaper than their old one, plus it locks in any unwanted smells IYKWIM.
Another tip instead of using carrier bags or bin bags for your litter waste or dog donations try Tescos Everyday Value Nappy Bags, they're the perfect size, frangranced with tie tops and at 35p for 300 are an absolute bargain!
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
On the recommendation of a neighbour, I used to buy the litter and cat food from the following people who are based in Eltham and who deliver all over the South East of England. They have very competitive prices and lots of special offers, really nice drivers too.
Thanks for the link Nellie I used to have a company deliver my cat litter but I misplaced their contact details after I lost Katie. I bought a 10 litre bag from Pets at Home to try and then found them a lot cheaper on Amazon so now have enough for several months but it's useful to have alternative suppliers

My local pet shop will deliver free of charge, although it a 2 minute detour on my journey to work so I don't often need/ask them to. But they have when I've been too dizzy to drive. They also phone me when Harvey's favourite food is on offer.

Fortunately we don’t have to buy cat litter very often now and have downsized to just one litter tray for them (they used to have three as kittens as recommended) and we use the cat litter from Aldi. Even in the worst weather both prefer to go out for their morning ablute.
I wish my neighbours would invest in some cat litter! Their cats keep leaving deposits on my bloc paving and neighbouring drives so they've obviously made no attempt to bury it. I'm a cat lover but I'm rapidly going off their two pets.

No problems like that here Toril, fortunately as next door's two outside cats call our grounds their home too. They sleep under our cars as the barking dog who is allowed inside is out in the drive until late and chases all cats away. They have a cat flap to the garage where their food is served which is supposed to open via magnets. Boris managed to get himself through it once in the pursuit of food but could not get back out and had to be rescued by Mr FP.

Are you sure it's not foxes, Toril? Cats are such fastidious creatures that it would be unusual to find one doing that, let alone two.
Obviously, if you've caught them in the act you must know but that's very unlucky.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Going back to the WD40 comments, I still haven't found mine. Hasn't been seen since the burglary. In desperation I used goose fat on a difficult lock lol.
