Amazingly enough, as someone who loathes heat (and can't understand why people would go abroad to a hot country on their holidays,) I'm still fine and haven't needed to put the fan on. I have already drunk nearly 1 and a half litres of water though.
And after my evening meal, I'll be outside with the hosepipe because the garden needs it.
A meagre 28c here, but add on a vehicle that emits swathes of heat into all corners and has a drivers opening window the size of a postage stamp, and it's not very pleasant. Off tomorrow.
What I hear you say, have they realised we all deserve it. Simple answer is theres a pregnant lady in the office so its a special case. I think one of them should get knocked up every year going forward
My bungalow is lovely and cool in summer due the foot of concrete of what use to be a flat roof before the pitch roof was added years ago. If I keep doors/windows shut on these mega-hot days, it makes a good 5c or more difference to outside. Plus a couple of fans, just right.

I really like my cheapo Ragdale Hall Express Facial Spritz but needless to say M&S don’t sell it anymore. As we don’t have sun usually it has lasted for several years. It has almond and argan oil in it. Also dug out my Josie 100% Argan Oil which I am sure one of you lot told me about .
I've just been round to my son's, because he's been offered a new job and he wanted to tell me about it. His house was like a furnace. It was so good to get back home into the cool,
