It'll be interesting to see whether the money that Top Gear makes for the Beeb will influence them enough to allow him to continue. I think the man is clearly an arse off screen but I do like the program and for the most part, onscreen, he is tolerable. I am a bit of a petrol head really.
It is alleged he took a swing at an assistant producer after discovering there was no catering at a filming location in Newcastle. I don't dislike what I have seen of the man onscreen, but if he is that volatile I'm not surprised he was suspended
i like him. i think he's funny. i dont find him posh tho.
Pubehead. Sort of nouveau- posh from Rotherham or somewhere. His mother got him into the BBC. Should restrict himself to talking about cars most public service workers will never be able to afford.
he has no dress sense jeans with formal leather shoes he will be wearing his shirts outside his jeans soon money does not=class
Whilst in danger of repeating myself, Clarkson is a pale imitation of P.J. O'Rourke 30 years ago - the resemblance is so striking it beggars belief. Clarkson should be taken out and shot in front of his family.
The problem with Clarkson is how he feeds the prejudices of those who rule and those who nod along, cap doffed, whilst being ruled by their "betters". Astonishing, I know, but public sector workers actually pay tax!!!
I've been finding Clarkson more irritating since the Tories got in. I think that is because when Labour was in power he could portray himself as embattled and in a minority or whatever. Ridiculously, but he could. But now his mob are in power, we have a government of the Clarksons for the Clarksons, comments like this one do come across differently, I think.
People who watch Top Gear really are a complete waste of space, aren;t they? Watching other people drive cars has to be the most moronic, self-evidently pointless waste of time and money imaginable. "I know what I'm going to spend the next hour of my life doing! Watching someone driving a car!!!! FUN!!!" But just when you think watching someone sitting inside a car while scenery goes past through the window couldn't get anymore exquisitely pleasurable, they cut to the studio and treat us with scenes of men-who-drive-cars talking about cars they've driven. "No! It's just too much pleasure in one 60 minute segment!!! Turn it off!! I'm being entertained to DEATH!!!!"
anyone who finds his comments funny have huge problems
Sadly some people seem to think that they're such big stars they're untouchable and they can do and say what they like without a thought for anyone else, Johnathon Ross had a similar ego and he too found out the hard way that he wasn't indispensable. Apparently Clarkson has had several warnings and was on his last which was why he was suspended but I daresay pressure will be put on by the money people to allow him back
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Its the old old story Im afraid, the busiest time of the month for us so the Board get onto the Finance Director, he gets onto the Finance Manager (who has zero tact and people skills), he gets onto The Assistant Accountant
Sh*t usually spreads downwards
Any of those shyster tactics with me and they will all cop it 404cc89e
I can't see the BBC giving up on Top Gear, it's one of their biggest earners. His co-presenters seem to get on with him quite well judging by their Twitter exchanges, I can take or leave him personally.
