Chelsea 4-2 Leicester I'm flying the scarf because do you know, we played our f*cking hearts out, but it was not to be. At HT we were 2-0 down, all over in any other game. But no, an astonishing own goal from a Chelsea lad gave us hope, and as their sorry tails dropped, MavisDidi equalised with a corker of a goal. Sadly at FT it was still 2-2 so extra time. No one likes this especially us, and so the Pensioners scored another two deep into this period and that was the end of our our FA Cup dream for another year. Now to concentrate on the league which is also slipping away, Leeds beat Millwall tonight and we're off the top on goal difference. What a mess.
Man Utd 4-3 Liverpool I'll fly the Liverpool scarf too, but tbh they fluffed it in what was a classic FA Cup day. It was 2-2 at FT so went to ET, Elliott scoring in this period to make it 2-3 and the Scousers looked home and dry, but no. Rashford, so crap any other day equalised and then Diallo finished the job on 121 minutes. Stupidly but rightly, Diallo was sent off on 122 minutes for whipping his shirt off and generally behaving like a gobshite, but the job was done. Klopp will not be collecting an FA Cup in his final year and must now turn to the Europa Cup.
West Ham 1-1 Villa (Not FA Cup) Utterly disgusted with The Hammers for letting this one slip, Villa were on the ropes once again but the host team chose to rest on a 1-0 and this is what happens. I can't really be arsed writing any more about this, I hoped for much bubble blowing, but there was none of it.
It's about time the EFL clamped down on Man City who have 115 offences to be taken into consideration instead of terrorising the smaller clubs.
Meanwhile Man Utd have been sniffing around Keiran Dewsbury Not from Bury-Hall, he could be offloaded for £40m in the summer if City manage promotion or £25m otherwise.
International Friendly (ie. the reason we have no PL and Championship matches this weekend)
FT England 0-1 Brasil
I can't be arsed with this, in fact I had forgotten all about it till I tuned into t'internet ten minutes ago. International friendlies are awful, especially with Lord Gareth of Southgate in charge. And so it was experimental stuff with a load of kids and Jordon Henderson, lots of side and back passing, Gareth's way of winning games. Oh and with the duo of ex-Leicester defenders Chilwell and Maguire out there, it was doomed from the start. Never mind, it's Belgium next so it will only be Kevin le Bastard to worry about.
A much better performance toinght, a draw against the Stella Swillers is no embarrassment. Annoying though that it was ex-Leicester turncoat shyster Youri Tielemans who scored both the Belgian goals, something he never bothered with at Leicester. Curiously it was another ex-Leicester turncoat shyster who assisted with England's 95th minute equaliser, subtitute Maddie setting Judy Bellingham up for the vital goal. There was actually a third ex-Leicester turncoat shyster playing for Belgium, Tim Castagne, along with fuzzy haired Wout Faes who we can't seem to ship out. The saving grace tonight of course was the absence of Kevin de Bastard who's once again not very well.
I think the point has come where I (and probably many other Leicester supporters) wonder if Enzo actually knows what the feck he's doing. Yet another wasted game, for a side who were supposed to stroll through this season with the title in the bag, we're proving we'd struggle in Division One let alone the Premier League. Vardy fluffed two shots on target, he couldn't hit a barn door these days, so eventually Enzo brings on Iheanacho who's rustier than a 1974 Morris Marina instead of Patty Daka who would have made the better sub. In fact young Tom Cannon who was a star for several matches while Vardy was on the sick would have been the best option, he's proved his worth yet wasn't even on the bench today. If Leeds and the Tractor Boys win later we are in the play-off zone. FFS!
