About an hour ago a man drove up the drive with my QVC parcels. Apparently they had been delivered to a friend of his about a mile away who has the same surname as me. This was nearly 3 weeks ago! He then went round a few houses asking if anyone knew me. The 'friend' had opened one of the bags to see if it would help her identify me??? Obviously her address is completely different to mine.
This is a very weird place to live sometimes but I am very glad I got my stuff....eventually. I have to phone QVC now and tell them that it was delivered and I was very lucky that someone is honest to find me after 'their courier' just dumped it at the wrong house.
It wasn't damaged or anything luckily. As I have mentioned (many times lol), this is a rural area but there are a good few houses and people do know each other. I just can't believe she didn't know who I was - I thought everyone knew ME!!

The current situation is like Groundhog Day! After the debacle with the SBC gels (see above) I phoned QVC and told them not to send any future orders with Hermes as no-one knows who Hermes pass the goods to when it arrives in Ireland. QVC had said previously that they would investigate that but of course they didn't. Anyway my next order from them was for some Sketchers trainers and I phoned Liverpool to place that order when usually I order on the website. I told them again not to send it via Hermes. It was sent RM and it arrived within a week.
I ordered the Alpha H on the website and when I phoned to complain last Friday, they said it had been sent Hermes again. The previous cock-up with SBC had been told to at least 3 customer service bods at the time and they all said they would investigate with the couriers blah blah. It never was and I am back in the same boat again. I don't know if I will get the Alpha H and Q are sending the famous 'letter'.
That's it now. Once the letter has arrived and sent back and eventually money refunded, I am cancelling my account. They are going to send all items via courier and I will never be confident I will receive them.
Really annoying, especially as your things arrive when they use RM instead of Hermes.
I think if it had been thrown into that garden again a few miles away, that man would have brought it round, now he knows who I am but there has been nothing.
What I am most annoyed about is not the couriers (cos I think they are all idiots anyway) but the way QVC handle things or rather don't. Surely their shipping department can find out from Hermes, who parcels are passed to when they get to Ireland. Apparently not and they tell such lies saying they will look into it and get back to you which they never do. They are employing Hermes to deliver their goods but are unable to question them when things go wrong. !
Anyway, if I don't have the account, I won't be tempted by anything and think "Oh maybe this time will be better" and end up angry and frustrated again.
I ordered a couple of things last week and although they weren't TSVs both arrived in 48 hours. I was almost too shocked to be able to open them .... but I managed to a few minutes later.
Well that's me and QVC finished. They received the letter back saying that the Alpha H had not arrived and earlier a nice man from Customer Service phoned me. He apologised and said the Alpha H item I ordered was now out of stock but I could go on wait list. No thank you I said, just refund me the money and close my account.
