Out of curiosity, I thought I'd see if anyone else was as pleased as I am with the TSV. Seems not - there are dozens of terrible reviews.
I'm astonished at some of the comments about the cut of the dress (I think it is very elegant) and the "cheap and nasty" material - it certainly is not and, as the daughter of a seamstress, I know enough about fabric to distinguish good from bad.
I like it so much that I ordered a black one while it was still at the reduced price.
I've had that before though. I bought a silver bead bracelet that I absolutely loved. So much so I bought a second one and I probably wore them most days for about five or six years!! I've had a bit of a change lately but there's nothing wrong with them. But the reviews!!! Dear god they were awful. Cheap, nasty, tinny, crap, broke in first wearing ... no one had a good word to say!! But I loved mine.
I've seen comments about the fabric being heavy because it's crepe. But crepe doesn't have to be heavy at all.

It was fine after hanging in the en suite overnight Itchy. I read the reviews , but the length is good for me, I like the colour and the arms are not too tight. Better not take it to the replay though!
I've bought things that had terrible reviews, and I loved them. Just goes to show though, seems lots of people weren't happy with the fact they were very crumpled. As long as you're happy, that's all that matters.
Mine were a bit crumpled but, as FP says, not now they've been hanging up for a few days. I was interested that one of the better reviewers said she has sensitive skin so washed hers straight away with a little fabric softener and the creases dropped out and it doesn't need ironing. The sleeves fit my freakishly long arms perfectly
What a shame about your Alpha H Itchy.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Absolutely ridiculous service from them Itchy. What is your next move?
I suppose the letter will get here eventually. The girl said it was sent 2nd Class which this country does not really recognise (we are not in the UK).
When they get the signed letter back and I get refunded for the Alpha H, I will close the account to stop me from ever being tempted again. I have been a customer for 20 years and in the past spent quite a lot of money with them, so it's the end of an era for me. What is the point of me ordering anything now when they continue to ship stuff with Hermes and they won't investigate when it goes missing when it gets to Ireland? it's just hassle for me.
On Thursday I ordered two large 500ml bottles of SBC propolis and aloe vera gels from Amazon. 25 uses it and those gels cleared his acne prone skin years ago. Anyway, they were shipped a few hours later and I would not be surprised if they arrive on Monday! Amazon always send their items via RM so it makes a mockery of QVC saying that they can't send liquids via RM.
You can't be their only Irish customer who is experiencing this, Itchy, it's madness on their part to jeopardise sales by not listening to you. Do you pay more than we do for postage?
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Yes we do pay more postage Nellie. Of course we do - QVC are not going to miss an opportunity of charging even more for postage than they do already! We also pay slightly more for the item itself because of the different VAT rates.
Irish customers who live in towns would probably not have the same problems as they have house numbers and street names. We don't, but the courier who is getting these goods from Hermes are not even trying to find the correct house.
