I suppose it's not even worth complaining to Hermes?
I wouldn't even know where to start with them Nellie and I just don't want the hassle. I will get refunded by QVC at some point and then I will say goodbye.
It's no big deal - I don't order much from anyone these days and I can get what I want from other retailers. The stuff I have bought from QVC is mostly 'treats' for myself and things I haven't really needed.
No it was one of the Daisy Eldridge dresses. We shall see!
Love my Ronen Chen/Chesca dresses FP. I have three and I wear them all the time. In QVC speak they really can be dressed up and dressed down. And with various different things underneath I do wear them pretty much all year round.
Absolutely ridiculous service from them Itchy. What is your next move?
I suppose the letter will get here eventually. The girl said it was sent 2nd Class which this country does not really recognise (we are not in the UK).
When they get the signed letter back and I get refunded for the Alpha H, I will close the account to stop me from ever being tempted again. I have been a customer for 20 years and in the past spent quite a lot of money with them, so it's the end of an era for me. What is the point of me ordering anything now when they continue to ship stuff with Hermes and they won't investigate when it goes missing when it gets to Ireland? it's just hassle for me.
On Thursday I ordered two large 500ml bottles of SBC propolis and aloe vera gels from Amazon. 25 uses it and those gels cleared his acne prone skin years ago. Anyway, they were shipped a few hours later and I would not be surprised if they arrive on Monday! Amazon always send their items via RM so it makes a mockery of QVC saying that they can't send liquids via RM.
Sorry for hi-jacking your thread Nellie.
As I predicted SBC gel arrived today (one of them). It's 500ml and was sent RM and then the Irish Mail. It was posted on Thursday. How can Amazon get things here so quickly and also send large bottles of liquid through RM? I have still not received the Alpha H, or QVC's letter.
I suppose with Amazon it depends which warehouse it's despatched from. Unlike QVC they have 13 or 14 or them across the UK. And they've got a hub or some such in Dublin. It was in an article I read a while back. Years ago they used to outsource all their warehouse stuff to an old client of mine.
Ah I see. Thanks Tinks, maybe that's it. Another funny thing - Propolis is the most expensive gel that SBC do. On QVC a small 250ml is about £19.50 and a lot more from SBC direct. This purchase from Amazon was £13.99 for 500ml! I thought it was a mistake and was expecting the final amount at the checkout to be a lot more, but no. It is the genuine article too, not a fake.

Something going as it should Itchy! I suppose the difference is because Amazon delivers all over Europe whereas QVC does not have the same set up. I notice with Debenhams they sometimes put in a thing to say they will not deliver an item to BFPO in Germany. That might be something to do with although you have a UK credit card they won't accept it for that purchase. What's the QVC delivery like to N. Ireland Itchy?
I don't know about deliveries there FP, but they have Royal Mail and the sterling currency so I would guess it is 100% better than it is here.
It's frustrating knowing that QVC have had my money since 1st August but I have no order and it's going to be quite a while before I get a refund seeing as I have not even received the famous letter yet. Hang on - 1st August was when they despatched the order, they got the credit card payment a few days before that! !
Well I'm still waiting for my IW frock!! Everyone seems to rave about how wonderful IW delivery time is compared to QVC. But I ordered on Saturday and I've only just had a "we're getting ready to despatch your parcel" email today. So I don't expect it to land until next week. No better and no worse than QVC really.

You have a good chance of it coming before the weekend- my experience is usually with the C&C side of the business where usually Hermes deliver about a day after that email. I am expecting something I ordered yesterday to be here for the weekend.
