Yes he has had the op Nellie. This morning he went out and she stayed in at about 10.30 they swapped over. No signs of overnight fighting. He isn't hiding today! He probably hadn't heard my playground voice before, I have to say it is very very loud.
Well I would be on my best behaviour I know that much!
Itchy and Scratchy were brother and sister and did not fight at all luckily. It was bad enough when the boys were scrapping without the cats joining in too.
Oh crikey I have to disagree with that in cat terms. I used to have three. Two girls and a boy. They used to run him ragged. They were mum and two siblings. They never got on. He'd have loved to play and be friends but neither one was interested. Mum ruled the roost 110%. And second in command was the girl. The boy very much had to go as he was told.
Same here Tinks. Although the two furries did not fight, Queen Itchy ruled the roost with Scratchy and the rest of us. Sadly Scratchy was run over about 3 years before Itchy and she was lonely without him.

Another 'incident' this morning. Boris wouldn't come in last night but kind hearted Mr FP got up and let him in when he heard crying about ten to seven. He left the conservatory door open as the alarm had been switched off. About 10 minutes later there was a dreadful noise and he opened the bedroom door to see poor Katya escaping through a gap in the banisters and down the stairs with Boris after her. He managed to herd Boris back into the conservatory and shut the door. Katya has been enjoying herself as she has control of the house now.
Do you use Feliway FP? Its a plug in pheromone thing. It can help calm nervous cats but it calms cats down full stop. Much cheaper to buy on line and it does definitely work.
How old are they FP? If they're about 18 months to two years they may be fighting for dominance. Clearly Boris wants to be the dominant one. If that is the case this will settle down almost as quickly as it started.
Does Boris play very much?! You might find that wearing him out playing with him will calm things down too. Something like a laser pointer or something he can chase and stalk.
If Katya starts to become nervous or unsettled then the Feliway with help her. As will Bach's Rescue Remedy in their water bowl.
