BBC have upset the apple cart again. The corporation mulled about 'Last Night Of The Proms,'dropping patriotic anthems. They have now decided to play historic 'Last Night of the Proms' anthems but not SING the 'racist' words that offend the woke.

The BBC says the orchestra-only arrangement was how the tunes were first performed at the Proms in 1905, and it's clear the evening's two rousing sing-along tunes would sound odd and perhaps rather bleak with just a handful of singers spread around an empty hall.
It's understood that the songs will return with their lyrics when the coronavirus restrictions come to an end.
Makes sense, a few vocalists won't sound very powerful without the audience participation, so instrumental versions instead. Full-on racist lyrics next year all being well.

But there is a voice to sing Jerusalem and the National Anthem . Professional singers can belt it out.
