Sorry, it’s too long to reproduce but reiterates most of the party’s failure to support those who wish to protect safe places for women leaving their own MPs open to attack.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
Labour are far too woke for me. I agree that they’re unlikely to do anything about protecting safe places for women either. Assuming they win, which sadly they will, hopefully they’ll be booted out in four years time. I would prefer the country to be run by someone who doesn’t change their mind all the time or who actually answers questions. That isn’t Starmer.
Whatever happens, I doubt that this country will improve under a Labour government.
I think things could get even worse than they are at the moment to be honest. Keir said taxes wouldn’t go up for one. Do I believe him? No, because it’s already rumoured that he’ll increase the Council Tax.
It's almost impossible for things to get worse than they have become after 14 years of the current shysters, unless maybe if Putin hit the button.
Why don't you believe Starmer over his tax promise? And who spread the council tax rumours?
I mean things probably will get worse, but there are far too many Mystic Meg's prophesising what they don't yet know.
Objective today is to remove the Tories from power. If it all goes t*ts up we get the chance of a re-think in five years time, but for now we need a change.
Give me the child until they are 7 and I will give you the bigender: Aristotle 1984-2022
I agree that we need a change but I doubt things will improve with Labour at the helm. I have listened to a lot of debates and discussions etc on the radio and have watched the TV debates. Several times on the radio the subject of the Council Tax probably going up was mentioned. I don’t believe his promise of no tax rises because whenever he’s been asked about it he doesn’t give a plausible answer.
I’d like most politicians to be honest. They say one thing and never do it. Proportional representation would be better but we won’t get it this time.
I guess we now have to wait to see what Labour can do to improve things but, as someone said this morning, they have no money in the coffers (thanks to the last 14 years) to do anything unless they tax us. It might not be in the pay packet but there are other taxes that could have an impact on people.
I am glad that we have a change of government but I think it was more of a Conservative loss than a Labour win, especially as the turn out was so low. It will be interesting to see how the next five years pan out. 🤔
