Reform UK has withdrawn support from three of its parliamentary candidates as the racism row engulfing the party continues to grow.
The party led by Nigel Farage is no longer supporting Edward Oakenfull, who is standing in Derbyshire Dales, Robert Lomas, a candidate in Barnsley North, and Leslie Lilley, standing in Southend East and Rochford, after alleged comments made by them emerged in the media.
The hypocrisy shown by Reform over these three campaigners is unbelievable.
From the BBC report...
Edward Oakenfull, who is standing in Derbyshire Dales; Robert Lomas, a candidate in Barnsley North, and Leslie Lilley, standing in Southend East and Rochford, will still appear on the ballot paper as Reform candidates as it is too late for them to be removed.
A Reform spokesman said if any of the three were elected they would sit as independent MPs.
However, he said people should still vote for the candidates if they wished to register support for Reform.
Asked what Reform would say to voters in the constituencies where the candidates had been dropped, the party spokesman said he would “encourage them to vote for the party, by voting for these people on the ballot paper".
This way, he said people could still vote for Reform's "policy platform".
He added: "I’m not saying the situation is ideal, but the size of the Reform vote share nationally is what matters."
So already they've proved that they're not disowning the three in question because they're actively encouraging people to still vote that way. It's outrageous.
I'd rather vote Tory than vote for these deceitful bastards, and I don't say that lightly.

I shall find out what FIL said to him [Clarke] later
Before the strange "endorsed by Reform" comment from Clarke, FIL had already told him he'd be voting for none of our candidates (proving to me FIL wanted to vote Reform). We can only assume, being as we have no Reform candidate, Clarke was lying by suggesting we vote for him to keep Labour out. There was no endorsement whatsoever unless it came direct from Farage, and obviously Farage wouldn't do that. Lies and deceit, I can't wait for that shyster to be removed from his position whoever beats him.

You've still got Lee John Clark and his Confelicity crew, or how about Bianca Isherwood and her Heritage Party?
They look great, the Heritage Party - no more of this eco nonsense, bring back the coal mines, scrap the wind turbines and bring back the 5.3 litre XJ12 Jag. Not sure I agree about no more lockdowns if we have another pandemic, I like a good lockdown now and then, keeps the shysters off the buses.

The thought of the Tories staying in power (unlikely) is bad enough, but the thought of Labour taking over is even worse. Whoever wins, things here will not improve, neither will the taxes nor the cost of living. I’d believe in Labour more if Starmer gave us a clear outline of his plans but he changes his mind or backtracks too frequently to get my vote.
This is the sort of thing that has us females worried about a labour government but it looks as if it is going to be forced upon those within their party who have long fought for safe female places and been harrassed and ridiculed by their own members. (similar articles in other papers)
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
If Labour were the only party to vote for then, for the first time ever, I wouldn’t have bothered voting. I think things could get even worse than they are at the moment to be honest. Keir said taxes wouldn’t go up for one. Do I believe him? No, because it’s already rumoured that he’ll increase the Council Tax.
