England 1-1 Swaziland (AET) England win 5-3 on pens
Didn't see it, I was out. The roads were deserted and the bus was empty, it was bliss.
I gather it was tedious in the first half but we improved and showed promise, but no goals. In fact there were no shots on target again which is astonishing. Anyway Swaziland scored, we equalised thanks to Saka but it went to penalties. Now, we are shit at penalties aren't we?
Not tonight, five great shots against Swaziland who missed one thanks to a top Pickford save. Terence Trent Alexander the Great Arnold took our fifth and sealed the win. We are in the Semis and will face Netherlands next Wednesday when I will be off.
Yorko , I've really fecked this up - is it possible to move the last few Euro posts I made in the regular Football Chat thread to here? If not, no worries.
Semi Final FT
Spain 2-1 France
My FOF prediction! The Garlic Munchers started well, scored first as the Bullock Baiters seemed out of sorts, but this soon changed and the hot favourites are now in the Final. All happened in the first half, the second half was less thrilling.
Lamine Yamal is Spain's current star having scored tonight aged just 16 he's the youngest player/scorer at the Euros, for Spain, for Barcelona (aged 15 as a player) and La Liga (Spain's PL). He has no legs. i.postimg.cc/9Fk8wFV4/Screenshot-2024-07-09-9-58-08-PM.png
As an aside today will be the start of Jimmy Anderson’s last Test Match for England for some reason he is not needed for the following 2 matches!
I've had a look, it seems they're playing West India who I gather are quite good at the crickets. Your bloke there is pushing 42 years old so is probably a bit poo at the game nowadays, a bit like Ronaldo who they keep wheeling out. So they're going to give the chap a last run out then concentrate on somehow winning. He'll probably be called back next week when it all goes hideously wrong.
A huge match tonight, Semi Final Netherlands vs England
England do not have a good record against the Windmillers...
England have won just one of their last nine meetings with Netherlands in all competitions (D4 L4 W1), winning a friendly match 1-0 in Amsterdam in March 2018.
Of all nations England have faced 20+ times in their history, only against Brazil (15%) do they have a lower win rate than they do against Netherlands (27% - W6 D9 L7).
