This is (technically) the last Thompson Twins song released before the famous three split from the original seven piece group. It's only available on the 12" issue of 'In The Name Of Love', and it's a percussive thriller.
Why did the song 'World Shut Your Mouth' feature on the Saint Julian album and not the World Shut Your Mouth album? Anyway here's a nicely tweaked and extended 'Trampolene'...
The Orb have released a second teaser following the iffy first one from their forthcoming album. 'Prism' is much more trad Orb, an ambient extravaganza that floats along blissfully for nearly ten minutes. But I'm left feeling like it never really goes anywhere and a few beats here and there could have added to the allure, I dunno...
How can I have gone through the 80's/90's dance explosion and missed this and other gems from Goldie (him with the gold teef who was bonking Bjork for a while)? Awesome track featuring drum 'n' bass, electronic, ambient and soul textures...
I'm not sure I should even post this one up, but here goes. Fever Ray are from Sweden and were introduced to me many years ago at the FOF. I tried but couldn't get on with them. Now they have a new album out, and tbh it's bloody scary. Or at least this track is. The subject matter is in the title - revenge. The video however is where it gets a bit dodgy. It is fantastic, but vicious and also quite unsettling, with rather distasteful bit at the end. Probably watch and listen but switch off @3m 09s.
In other words, Warning: Not suitable for those easily offended or nervous types
