Well it was better at least, old skool again as (Yes) Ndidi opened the account and Vardy provided a second. Vardy had been guilty earlier of ballsing up a penalty after a cheating Brommie had, well, cheated, but redeemed himself. There was the inevitable squeaky arse last 15 minutes as we allowed the Baggies (I think that's what they're called) a consolation, but for once we defended frighteningly resolutely for the win. Top of the table again, and four points above Leeds.
Banking on Bournemouth to help Spurs get that last Champions League spot, the Cherries have nothing else to gain other than the satisfaction of upsetting Villa's highly annoying season.
Fulham v Liverpool 4.30 KO
An absolute must-win for the Scousers, otherwise Klopp's kapitulation will be komplete. Might be a tricky one against the Kottagers.
Villa 3-1 Bournemouth Week after week after bloody week, it drives me insane! The Cherries having taken the lead squandered that excellence as it became business as usual once again. Bournemouth took the lead thanks to Solanky's penalty after a cheating Villa shyster had interfered in the box, but that was the only fun to be had here.
Job done well by the Scousers, in what was the first essential win of the last essential wins and even then the title can't be guaranteed. Terence-Trent-Alexander-Arnold-Layne opened the scoring, but the Cottagers pulled one back by HT. Liverpool kept their heads after what must have been a HT Mönchengladbach mauling from Klopp and finished the game off easily. Even more importantly they provided me with an exact prediction result after a dismally poor weekend performance.
