Wolf Hall
Author Hilary Mantel has won two Booker prizes for her novels about King Henry VIII’s wily adviser, Thomas Cromwell.
The books have been adapted with a superstar cast: Wolf Hall boasts Homeland’s Damian Lewis as the monarch, Shakespearean giant Mark Rylance as Cromwell, Sherlock’s Mark Gatiss as his enemy Bishop Stephen Gardiner and veteran Jonathan Pryce as Cardinal Wolsey. Jessica Raine from Call The Midwife and David Bradley — famous for everything from Harry Potter to Game Of Thrones and Broadchurch — also feature.
If you follow the link in OP it tells you all about the new series Sacha & it's got pictures so you see what the all singing & dancing hero looks like.
Ah, thanks for the link. Aww I didn't know that Angharad Rees had died in 2012. I don't know either of the main characters but will watch and see how it compares.
I've seen the trailers for Wolf Hall, it looks rather dark and serious. Damien Lewis, his natural speaking voice is a bit of a disappointment after seeing him in Band of Brothers. I really thought he was an Americam actor!
I saw it in the Daily Fail when Angharad died. She was brilliant in that role.
I saw 'Band of Brothers' with Damian as well. We were given the DVD set. He was also in the US TV series 'Homeland'. He has done home grown dramas, he was in the remake of 'The Forsythe Saga'. Very good he was too. www.imdb.com/title/tt0260615/
Poldark.....is that a brand new series? I did watch all the original one and got the books. Bit of a fan, me!
Me too Sacha, mainly because I was a huge fan of the gorgeous Robin Ellis, so much so that the Coglet was going to be called Ross, but when he was born he didn't look like a Ross, so has it as his middle name instead.

Which one though Tinks because it was great with the original detective but the guy from the telephone adverts is not as good. Have you been watching on Alibi? The original is Ben something or other.

Yep Ben Miller. I preferred the series with him in it. I think the other two local guys are a great double act.
