Himself has been following this series and enjoyed it and mentioned what you said above Mim, about a follow up when the book is finished.
But I've been thinking about where I saw Mark Rylance before and of course....it was in the film 'The Other Boleyn Girl' (2008) where he played the role of Sir Thomas Boleyn. Featuring a good cast headed by Eric Bana (nice ) and Natalie Portman it was about the ambitious Anne ousting her sister Mary from the Kings affections and of course becoming queen!
Yes, I saw that film Sacha & read the book. Anne Boleyn is a fascinating character & has been portrayed in so many different ways.
Dr David Starkey did a programme about Henry VIII a while ago - Henry VIII: The Mind of a Tyrant. That's worth watching if you haven't seen it in my opinion.
I just started watching the British version of Broadchurch on Netflix. In the U.S. it is called Gracepoint but has David Tennant as the the lead actor as well.
I watched Poldark, the new Ross did nothing for me, I just can't get the original cast out of my mind, but I'll keep watching, as I loved the storyline.
Good book, I enjoyed it. I later went to see the film www.imdb.com/title/tt0467200/ Natalie Portman as Anne Boleyn wore a fabulous pearl necklace. 24 was so taken with it that I bought a Ralphie looky-likey from Q for her.
