I watched but couldn't for the life of me remember what happened the first time round other than the boy on the beach being murdered. I'll watch next week to see if it makes more sense.
I know what you mean Frazz I read the summary of series one on Wiki for a reminder but think somehow I must have missed the last episode because I didn't know that the police woman's husband was the murderer!

I did remember that he was the murderer, but it would have been helpful if they'd run a brief synopsis of the first series to remind us of all the ins and outs etc. Talk about having to concentrate.

Oh give me a break! That episode of Broadchurch was appalling! So predictable and so irrational. If you haven't watched it yet, or you recorded it look away now.

And that woman - so terrified of her ex that she agrees to meet him for ....? Oh, I see, for the better good of mankind. And she stands there meekly while he opens her shirt. Yes, right.
And then the pregnant one comes (not fussed on her character at all) and starts shoving & pushing and at that very exact moment her waters go.
