I am - they have been up in the apex of the roof for years - not sure why they had departed. The Council have put new lights around recently! Keith next door is on a mission about that. We did have a wood burner installed in December and that may be a contributory factor - who knows?
I am hoping they will return - they were pipistrelles.
Such a shame, it's lovely seeing them darting about at dusk, I see a few here if I'm lucky. Hopefully the council might be able to adjust the leverl of lighting if they know about the bats?
Edit: Just a thought Lily, as they hibernate in winter, perhaps it's too warm for them now?
There was something at the bottom of the garden that both intrigued and freaked the cats last night. They sat close together on the mat outside the patio doors for roughly three hours and just stared refusing to come in or even look at me when I spoke to them. I could pick up nothing in the torch beam so I have no idea what was so captivating.
