Flies!
Still a running battle. I swatted 7 yesterday. I swear Himself is leaving the back door open deliberately.
Today two are hovering around my computer so I've got drops of honey on one of those sticky fly stickers. So far they are ignoring it.

Edit: Oh Great! Ruby's licking the honey off my fly trap!

Three hedgehogs of different sizes have been visiting over the summer. Baby hedgehog turns up most nights for a drink of water and a handful of dried cat food. About 17:00 I saw him (I assume it's the same little one), lying flat on the grass near the shed. He was breathing, but didn't curl up when I approached him. I put water next to him and there was no response. I tried a small handful of dried cat food and he ate that and then had a long drink. Now he's gone.
What was that all about?

I do not put it out as a matter of course in case I attract rats into the garden.

The bat saga continues! Heard a noise from upstairs this afternoon, Domino in hunting mode (very unusual for him). OH went upstairs and there was another bat flying around…

The fishing net was obtained from the garage and put to good use this evening.

I was cutting back brambles from the hedge when Baby Hog appeared. I gave him a small handful of dried food much to Oz's disgust. They really are Houdinis. I turned away for a few moments and when I looked back he was gone
