We played OK, we really did, but the fact is Spain are the best team in Europe by far. Former manager Southgate (for it will be) made good substitutions that paid off but it was not enough, Spain having the ability to close down whatever is presented to them it seems. I thought we might pinch extra time and penalties, but they finished the job and once again we're left suffering a lost final. England are the only team to have lost two consecutive European Championship Finals, fact finders.
